New York, September 2025The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) is commemorating its 80th session under the theme “Better Together: 80 Years and Beyond for Peace, Development and Human Rights”. High-Level Week brings together Heads of State, institutional representatives and global leaders to renew their commitment to multilateralism and to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Eight decades after the signing of the UN Charter in San Francisco, the international community faces pressing challenges: climate change, persistent inequalities, geopolitical tensions and the urgent need to accelerate progress on the 2030 Agenda. Secretary-General António Guterres recalled that the UN was born “from the ashes of war” as a promise of unity and hope.

The 80th anniversary is more than a historic milestone: it is a call for governments, institutions, businesses and civil society to join forces. In a time of uncertainty, the message is clear – only together can we build a sustainable, fair and peaceful future.

From The FuturED Institute, we express our strong support for this commemoration and reaffirm our commitment to advancing education, sustainability and international cooperation as key pillars for achieving our shared goals.
