London, November 2025 | The official announcement took place during the III International Gala \u201cEducation for Sustainability\u201d<\/em><\/a>, organised by The FuturED Institute<\/a> in partnership with the Fondation Princesse Charl\u00e8ne de Monaco<\/a> and supported by the International Green Trade & Commerce Association (IGTCA)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Apyphore (Costa Rica)<\/a> was named the winner of the HIRMINA Prize 2025<\/a> for its pioneering contribution to the intersection of technology, environmental sustainability and social innovation. Developed by the CTP de Atenas, the project introduces an intelligent beehive that enables the extraction of apitoxin (bee venom) without harming the bees, ensuring the preservation of pollination processes and biodiversity. In addition, Apyphore stands out for promoting the participation of young women in STEM fields, empowering future leaders in sustainable technological development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Aquagraf (Costa Rica)<\/a> and Infood Protein (Chile)<\/a> were awarded second place in the HIRMINA Prize 2025. Both are highly innovative projects with strong environmental and social impact. Aquagraf has designed a modular, scalable graphene-based system to purify contaminated water, which gives access to safe drinking water in vulnerable communities. Infood Protein, transforms brewery waste into sustainable proteins, oils and biofertilisers through biotechnology and the use of black soldier fly larvae\u2014strengthening circular economy solutions for agriculture and animal feed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Among the finalists, there were three additional projects: Compact Solar Collector Project (Argentina)<\/a>, Multi-Energy Micro-grids (Chile)<\/a>, and Tide of Decisions (Argentina)<\/a>.
