London, 1 August 2025 — Every 1 August, the international Scout Movement celebrates World Scout Scarf Day, a symbol of unity, commitment, and service. The date commemorates the opening of the first Scout camp on Brownsea Island, UK, in 1907, marking the birth of a movement that today brings together millions of people around the world under the motto: “Always ready to serve.”

This year, the commemoration holds special meaning in Argentina thanks to the solidarity visit of the Scouts and Guides of Monaco, who will be in the country from 2 to 17 August 2025 to carry out a meaningful social impact project: the complete renovation of the kitchen at the Mission Nueva Pompeya School, located in the province of Chaco.

This humanitarian initiative is organised and coordinated jointly with the Monaco Argentina Association and the renowned NGO Haciendo Camino, as part of an alliance that brings together young people from different cultures around a common goal: to improve living conditions in vulnerable communities through volunteer service and the spirit of Scouting.

The video accompanying this article is a surprise prepared by The FuturED Institute for the Scouts and Guides of Monaco, featuring warm greetings from Candela Gonzalez, President of the World Board of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts and David Baden-Powell, Lord Baden-Powell of Gilwell.

On this World Scout Scarf Day, we send warm and fraternal greetings to Scouts around the world — and especially to the Guides and Scouts of Monaco, for their commitment, generosity, and inspiring example.

Happy Scouting Day — always ready to serve!
