PREAMBLE

The FuturED Institute is an international academic community dedicated to empowering individuals, organisations, and societies through education for sustainable development. Founded in 2020 in Monaco and developed in the United Kingdom, the Institute inspires people to innovate, lead, and contribute to global progress.

The Institute is independent and non-partisan. It does not align with political parties, ideologies, or special interests, and it operates with academic autonomy, institutional responsibility, and public purpose.

This Ethical Code defines the principles, responsibilities, and expected standards of conduct for all individuals and entities associated with The FuturED Institute—including staff, faculty, researchers, programme participants, partners, advisors, and collaborators.

It also reflects the Institute’s commitment to operating in accordance with applicable domestic laws and regulatory frameworks, including those of the United Kingdom, Europe, and relevant international environments.

  • Programmes designed according to educational standards, safeguarding principles, and applicable legal requirements.

TRANSPARENCY & RESPONSIBLE COMMUNICATION

  • Provide accurate, verifiable, and lawful information about programmes and activities.
  • Comply with regulations on advertising, representation, and public engagement.
  • Maintain confidentiality and responsible disclosure according to legal and institutional requirements.

DATA PROTECTION & DIGITAL RESPONSIBILITY

  • Manage personal and institutional data according to data protection legislation (UK and international).
  • Collect, store, and use data only for legitimate educational, research, and institutional purposes.
  • Ensure safeguards, informed consent, and cybersecurity measures.

PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT & CONFLICT OF INTEREST

  • Act responsibly, lawfully, and professionally when representing the Institute.
  • Identify, disclose, and manage conflicts of interest transparently.
  • Decisions must not be influenced by personal, financial, or external interests that compromise integrity.

SAFEGUARDING REPUTATION & PUBLIC TRUST

  • Protect institutional identity, intellectual property, and brand integrity.

REPORTING, ACCOUNTABILITY & ETHICAL REVIEW

  • Maintain procedures for reporting concerns, reviewing breaches, and ensuring fair responses.
  • Individuals raising concerns in good faith will be treated respectfully and protected.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

  • Periodic review of the Ethical Code to align with evolving laws, regulations, and professional standards.
