During a recent institute visit to Panama in May 2026, Juan Dávila y Verdin, Founder and Managing Director of The FuturED Institute, met with Jorge Arosemena Román, Executive President of the Ciudad del Saber Foundation, and David Aguilar Sánchez, Business Manager, to assess the facilities as a potential venue for future editions of the Hædlinks Programme in Panama.

More than a conference centre or business park, Ciudad del Saber has established itself as one of Latin America’s leading ecosystems for innovation, education, research, entrepreneurship, and international cooperation. The campus brings together universities, research institutes, technology companies, start-ups, non-governmental organisations, and international organisations, creating a unique environment for knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The visit was particularly relevant to the development of the Hædlinks Panama Programme, which explores leadership, global trade, logistics, innovation, sustainability, and international cooperation through direct engagement with key institutions and strategic sites across the country. The presence of academic institutions, innovation centres, entrepreneurs, and international organisations within Ciudad del Saber provides an exceptional learning environment aligned with the programme’s objectives.

The assessment was highly positive. The facilities exceed the requirements for hosting future cohorts and benefit from a privileged location overlooking the Panama Canal, one of the programme’s principal academic destinations.

The visit marks an important step in strengthening The FuturED Institute’s engagement with Panama’s innovation and knowledge ecosystem while identifying new opportunities to enhance the educational experience offered through the Hædlinks Programme.

Applications are now open for future editions of the Hædlinks Programme in Panama. Professionals, academics, entrepreneurs, and students interested in participating in this unique international learning experience are invited to request further information by contacting learning@futured.org.uk
